Hartwell School is a Church of England Primary School providing education for children from 4 to 11 years.

AssembleyAt Hartwell we challenge every child to strive for the highest standard of personal, social and intellectual development and to aim for excellence in all they do. We encourage children to have the confidence to explore and experiment as they work to develop their talents and achieve their full potential. The excellence of our educational provision at Hartwell has been recognised through our last two Ofsted Inspections (June 2006 and September 2008) and through a history of high achievement at the National reporting ages Year 2 and Year 6.

Governors, Staff and Parents at the school are committed to providing a stimulating, caring and safe environment which encourages our children to become confident, to work hard within a supportive learning situation and to respond positively to challenge. High moral values are at the heart of our provision. We develop trust, self discipline, friendship, good manners and mutual respect for each other and the environment. Our Outstanding Ofsted report September 2008 said “the school’s belief that “second best is not good enough” is reflected in all aspects of its work”. The children, parents, staff and governors are united in their belief that we have a school to be proud of.
